Even though I'm not a morning person by any means I still get up very early because if I sleep in I feel like I've wasted a lot of my day. The struggle!

Happiness is not having to leave the house today. It's just a day to write a little, bake a little, and laugh a lot with Mr. W, Son #2, and Baby Girl. I'm missing Son #1 and my DIL (she needs a nickname!), something terrible, but they're spending Thanksgiving her family out west this year. Hoping to Skype, though. If I can figure it out after not having used it for more than a year. LOL.

It's a rainy and windy Monday here, and I'm hard at work on the third Potion mystery. Love spending time in Hitching Post, Alabama with all its crazy characters. Looking forward to family time later this week and...pie. :)

Good news! Found out recently that the Magic Potion shop series is going to be made into audio books. So cool! Once they're available, I'll let you know.

Spent this past weekend in Florida, a quick trip -- Friday to Monday. Saw a great cross-country race, some adorable manatees, celebrated Mr. W's and my 24th wedding anniversary, and was able to spend a couple of days with my parents. It was a nice getaway, but now reality sets in. I have a book due next week. Yipes. So, I'm crawling into my writing cave, plied with coffee and chocolate and an occasional Dr Pepper. Send good thoughts. I need them. :)

While planting bulbs in an area of the yard we call the "pit of despair" I saw some duct tape sticking out of the ground. Where no duct tape should ever be. I left it, but I'm kind of curious... To pull or not to pull?

I'm meeting an old friend (friendship is old--not her, LOL) that I haven't seen in a long time for breakfast, and can't wait to catch up. I miss her smile. Sometimes it's the simple things in life that make me happiest.
