Gloomy

As I sit here, it's black as night outside, even though it's almost 9 in the morning. The doom and gloom is thanks to a series of storms rolling through the area. For the past 18 hours. Enough, already, thankyouverymuch.

My family holed ourselves in the basement while tornado sirens wailed last night. Luckily, there are no confirmed reports of any touch-downs. This weather freaks me out. According to forecasters, the storms are supposed to move on out by mid-afternoon. Until then, I'm going to try and get some writing done and hope, hope, hope the power doesn't go out. Not too much to ask, right?

  1. The only fun part of power outages is grabbing a flashlight to read by...just like sneaking one under the covers as a kid when lights were supposed to be out =)

  2. If the Webbers are forced to resort to cannibalism, who's on the menu first? Just curious.

  3. I've done the hurricane, the flood, and the earthquake. But a tornado? Just the notion scares the bejeebers out of me.

Here's hoping the weather is better. Soon!

  4. Melissa, I wish I remembered to stock up on flashlight batteries! I could have made a good dent in my TBR pile!

    You, Theo.

All those things freak me out, Laura! I'm such a wuss these days. No sirens last night, but straight line winds that had our trees bent nearly in half. That was fun. :)
