Return to Normalcy?

Not yet.

But it's close.

The power is back on at my house after 36 hours, but there are still over 500,000 people without. The kids still don't have school and tomorrow is looking iffy as well.

The biggest problem facing my family at this point is a severe gas shortage. Most of the stations around here have no power or are just plain out of gas. Lines (I'll post a picture later!) stretch dozens deep at stations that do have gas. It's crazy!

I'm happy to be home, but am so glad we had somewhere to go during the worst of it. Now we'll slowly pick up the pieces...

  1. Heather - I am glad you and your family are safe. It's when things go haywire that we learn to appreciate our "normal" lives even more.

  2. Ann, thank you. It's amazing to me how much I take for granted on a daily basis. What we had is just a fraction of what people are facing in Texas...

Hopefully everyone is getting the help they need.
