Google Earth

I'm fussing with Truly, Madly, Deadly and because sometimes (once in a great while) my Type A-ness comes out, I had to figure out if a section of Beacon St in Boston is one-way. Argh.

I went to Google maps and yeah, they had arrows, but it was a little confusing (or as my kids like to say, confuzzling), so I did they next best thing to hopping a plane.

Google Earth.

The maps are amazing. I feel like I'm right there in the city. The one-way question was solved, and I also gained a much better idea of the whole area in general. Oh--and it's fun. No, it is. I'm serious. But it's a time-sucker too, looking up all kinds of places all over the world. Must. Limit. Usage.

  1. Can you see houses on that one? THOSE sites are wild! And maybe a little creepy.

  2. They actually have Google "Street" too, Laura, where you can apparently see people's faces. There is the whole privacy issue, but it's really great for research!
