Happy Day

The new computer is up and running. It took less than a minute to get logged on today. (Insert alleluia chorus!).

The new keyboard is going to take some getting used to. The keys are flatter and my fingertips want to skim right over the proper key. Lots of typos. Thank goodness for spellcheck.

And just to make the day That Much Better, it's supposed to be 75* and sunny here. Color me giddy. Those gray wintry days were really starting to mess with my head. I think I might just hang out on the front porch today and bask...

  1. While you're basking on the front porch, may I recommend a book to bring with you? Judi Mccoy's Hounding the Pavement. I read it over the weekend and just want to tell everybody about it...it's one of the best books I've read all year. Just perfect.

Also enjoying "A Lion Called Christian". Have you seen that amazing YouTube video? This is the whole story from the 2 men that raised him, rereleased from the '70s.

  2. I have Hounding the Pavement sitting on my desk. Will definitely read it asap--that's quite a review!

I love, love, love that Youtube video of the lion. Makes me tear up every time I see it (I'm a big sap). Didn't know there was a book about it, though. I have to look for it!

  3. Everytime I see that video I become a bawling idiot...anyone who says animals don't feel love after seeing that I will never understand. It's one of the most beautiful moments I've ever seen.
I just started the book last night and expect I'll be crying by the end of that as well.

  4. Sitting on the porch, doing nothing? How is that different from every other day, regardless of the weather?

  6. I thought I would never learn to type on my laptop's keyboard...but now I can't go back to the raised keys and type so much faster now. Hang in there..you'll pick it up in no time and your fingers will be flying!

  7. Jessica, it's getting better! Thank goodness. For a while there the typos were taking over.
