Home...Again

Whew. I'm back from RWA in Washington, D.C. It's a long conference--I arrived Wednesday, left Sunday. Too long in some ways, not long in enough in others.

I find it fascinating how many new people I meet--not in workshops but in the hallways, elevators, luncheons. I'm quite shy at heart yet I'm able to step out of my comfort zone a lot more at these types of events. I've gathered quite a few business cards, promises to keep in touch, and blisters--I've come to realize conferences are the breeding ground for blisters. I came prepared this time--I brought along special blister Band-Aids. They're wonderful! I wouldn't have lasted in my cute shoes without them.

One of the things I learned while I was there was that I need a Facebook Fan page. So I've spent most of the morning trying to figure out how to create one! Not easy--for me at least. I think (think!) I've done it. It still needs lots of tweaking, but it's up. I tried linking, but it's not working. You can scroll down on the left side of the blog, you'll see a Facebook gadget--maybe that'll work (hopefully) if you want to become a fan (please!). I believe you do NOT have to be a member of Facebook to be a fan (don't hold me to that), but if you are, it's all that much easier to keep track of me (lucky you).

This week is all about revisions on the second Lucy book--and waiting for my box o' books to arrive from DC.
