Chilly morning here. One of those days you just want to stay snuggled under the blankets. But it's not often life actually lets you do something like that (unless you're down and out with the flu). I actually turned on the heat for the first time this morning to take the chill out of the air. I'm still kind of wondering where the summer went.
This morning I'll be writing (once I get off-line!), working on Absolutely, Positively. I finally have a good feel of where the revisions are going and am really liking the new direction. This afternoon, I'll be helping serve the team dinner for the high school cross country team. It's amazing to me how much food is needed to feed 40 teenaged runners.
Do you already have weekend plans? Saturday we're headed up to Columbus for this week's cross country meet, a two hour drive (one way). It's supposed to be a beautiful day, though, and I'm looking forward to it. That night my daughter and I are gussying up to go see the Dayton Philharmonic. Free tickets! Can't pass that up. And if we love it (I suspect she will, but am not so sure about me), I'll probably take advantage of the Cincinnati Symphony's buy one, get one free offer. I love that these organizations are offering these specials to bring in new patrons... Only if the Broadway tours were discounted too!
Have fun at at the symphony. Those I love, opera..not so much.
ReplyDeleteI love free tickets.
This wekeend I'm going to Charlotte, NC to visit my freshman niece. Her goal is to give me a tour of her dorm and campus and spend my money. My goal is to take the tour of her campus and dorm and keep my money. I think she may win.
LOL, Dru. I suspect you'll be coming home a little poorer. Have a blast in N.C.!
ReplyDeleteStay away from that thermostat, woman!
ReplyDeleteGood try, Theo.
