That's right. Love. As in romance. As in I'm finally reading something other than mysteries--a welcome break, though I do love mysteries--just need some space from all that murder and mayhem. I've missed my tortured heroes, my conflicted heroines, my happily-ever-afters.
Just finished Talk of the Town by Sherrill Bodine which is more chick lit romance than straight romance, but there was enough torture and conflict and of course the happily ever after to make me a happy girl. I definitely recommend it.
Congrats on getting through your mystery judging! I've been reading a lot of Christmas romances lately, but after just so long of one genre you get ready to move on to something else. Variety is the spice of life!
ReplyDeleteHmm, I have to check this out. Thanks for the recommendation.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right, Melissa! It's all about the variety.
ReplyDeleteDru, I think you'll like it. It was a lot of fun.
