Book of the Day

One of my critique partners, Cathy Liggett, has new book set to debut next week. Beaded Hope is Christian women's fiction and it tells the story of four women who go on a mission trip for very different reasons and find hope in some very special South African women. This is an absolutely amazing story. Also, Cathy is giving a portion of her proceeds to the real Beaded Hope organization, so buying a copy of the book will support a great cause.

Blurb:

Four American women, all with their own challenges, embark on a mission trip to South Africa. Their lives are changed as they encounter a group of South African women who suffer from AIDS yet demonstrate great joy and faith in the face of overwhelming adversity. When the Americans discover the amazing beadwork that has been taught to generations of women in the community, they uncover a way to help these proud people support their families by selling their craft.

From the back cover: A moving story about the power of faith and hope to overcome even the most tragic circumstances.

Cathy is celebrating the release of Beaded Hope by having a BEADED HOPE-YOU’RE-A-WINNER GIVEAWAY. Each week in March, Cathy will be giving away a copy of Beaded Hope and a beaded bracelet handcrafted by one of the women Cathy had the privilege to meet when she traveled to South Africa. Just go to www.cathyliggett.com to register.

  1. Sounds like not only a wonderful book, but a great experience! I'm enthralled – I'll definitely register!

BTW Heather: I received truly, madly a few days ago and it's TRULY a great book! Got me hooked on the first page and it keeps me wanting more! As a professional editor, THAT is the first sign of a good read! Really looking forward to the next Lucy Valentine story!
