Confession of the Day

Okay. Deep breath. Here goes:

The ice maker sometimes scares the bejeebers out of me. It'll clink and clank at the strangest times, making me think that perhaps I'm not home alone. I write mysteries, for crying out loud. I know what happens when unsuspecting people hear strange noises in the house.

And yes, I have an overactive imagination.

Okay, I feel better now.

  1. Oh I can see a spirit coming out of the ice maker that Lucy has to help. That's why there's so much noise, the spirit if just trying to get comfort (or maybe come out). I don't creepy noise at night either.

  5. MC, I hope Lucy doesn't start seeing spirits! Her visions keep me busy enough. Book. Due. Next. Week. ACK.

Dru, I totally agree. And not only when the lights are off--in the shower, too! Thanks, Psycho.

  6. I was home alone one night (hubby works nights), sitting at my computer writing, when all of a sudden I heard the toilet flush. (Nope, no pets trained to use the toilet.) I froze in my chair, my first thought that the crazed axe murderer who broke into my house was at least polite enough to flush. Finally figured out that the water runs at unusual times in the guest bathroom....like when I'm alone in the house and not expecting it!
