A Day at the Zoo

I spent a day at the zoo last week, armed with my husband's fancy camera. He's a much (MUCH)
better photographer, but his camera makes it easy even for people like me.

Is this guy sleeping? Do flamingoes have eyelids?

It was mid-80's and sunny the day we went. This polar bear spent
most of the time in the water, trying to cool off with his pool toys.

These parrots were frisky! One kept putting his wing up as a privacy shield. LOL.

If only I could get over that barrier...lunch.

Just look at that tongue. So cute. From far away.

Interesting pillow. And again, lunch...

This guy was focused on opening peanuts. Quite fascinating watching

him open them--and try to keep the others away at the same time.

Peacocks stroll freely around the zoo. This one was looking for a few stray

french fries at the cafe.

This pic is way blurry, but it's me showing my otter love.

  1. These are all great pictures and I love, love the one of the two tigers. You know he's looking at you.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. You did a wonderful job. The photos are terrific. I think my favorite would be a tie between the two tigers and the sleeping lion. You'll have to tell Mr. H. he'll have to watch out - you might just outdo him on taking photos.

  3. The lion is my favorite. So cuddly looking. :)

And LOL, MC. I don't think he has to worry.
