In the Car...

By the time this posts, I should be in the car, headed north, then east. For nine hours. Nine. Hours. It's not the longest road trip I've ever been on, but it ranks up there. I'm headed to the Malice Domestic conference in Arlington, VA. If you're a traditional mystery fan, this is the place for you. Lots to do, lots of people to see, including many, many authors.

I'll be listening to a lot Broadway soundtracks on the way there--WICKED, of course, is at the top of that CD pile. I'm obsessed with that CD right now. Have been since I took (stole) it from my daughter for my road trip to Chicago a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure she won't mind (as if she has a choice) if I steal it again.

After Malice, Wendy Lyn Watson and I are making the drive up to Pittsburgh, where on Monday the Festival of Mystery takes place. If you're around the Pittsburgh area (at least a three hour radius) it is worth the drive to attend. Really. More info at http://www.mysterylovers.com/ then click on the Festival link.

I'm not sure how much Internet I'll have while I'm gone, so posts might be a bit sporadic from me until next Wednesday. I'll try to update as much as possible, either here or through Facebook. I just hope I can upload pictures okay...I plan to take a lot. Part of this is because she who holds the camera is never in the picture. Mwa-ha-ha.

PS: Last time I drove to Malice, I pulled into the Pentagon by accident. Let's hope that doesn't happen again, okay?

  1. I so agree about who takes the photos. Have a wonderful trip, be safe and have lots of fun. PS, do stay away from the Pentagon this time (might be safer). :)
