Yesterday I went about making my morning coffee. Soon, I noticed a weird sound as the machine brewed--the dripping sounded louder than normal.
Yep. Forgot to use the carafe. Coffee flowed freely all over the counter-top.
Oops.

PS: I'm blogging today at Romance University about cross-genre books if you're interested.
I've done this at least twice. They shouldn't make coffee makers so complicated knowing we have to use them when we've just woken up.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I've not done this. However I've managed every other combination. Forgot to put water in. Forgot to put COFFEE in. Makes for a very weak brew. Forgot to turn it on (why is that coffee taking so long?)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I need a cup of coffee before I make my cup of coffee.
Your mind is somewhere else. Try to stay in the moment:)
ReplyDeleteLOL, Aimee, I totally agree!
ReplyDeleteAnnette, this is perfect: I need a cup of coffee before I make my cup of coffee. That says it all.
I wish I could, Tonya! It would make life so much easier.
Did you know if you make banana bread and forget to put in the flour you end up with this strange sort of banana soup. (Not saying I ever did this, of course.)
ReplyDeleteI was boiling water in the teapot and normally I listen for the whistle and when I didn't hear it, I checked and I forgot to put the top on and the bottom on the teapot was scorched.
ReplyDeleteI've done that and every combination Annette mentioned. Finally got a coffee pot that you can program the night before so coffee is ready when I get up. But, if you don't push that little button that says 'timer' it won't make either. LOL

Thoughts in Progress
I am famous for remembering to put coffee in the pot but not the water. I'm always losing cups of coffee. I put them in the microwave for a little warm up and forget to get them out. Usually, discover this when cup number two goes to the microwave for a warm-up.
