Amused

I've started this blog three times already, then deleted, and it's amusing me--why can't I think of anything to write??? Isn't this what I do for a living? LOL.

There are just some days I can't think of anything to post. My life is mostly boring. Mostly. And I'm okay with that, but when it comes to finding something to post about everyday, it gets a little tricky.

So, I'm sticking to the basics this morning. I'm off soon to the car service center, because my beloved car with a zillion miles on it (about 150,000 give or take) needs an emergency checkup--the car version of a chronic cough. Let's hope it's not something terminal. There has been talk of trading her in--gasp--but I don't think I can do it. Not without a good reason (like a couple thousand dollar bill to fix her). I'm rather attached.

Later on, there are appointments galore. Eye doc, orthodontist, and a team dinner--all for son #2. Thursdays are starting to be quite the busy day for me. Tomorrow, my daughter goes into the hospital for some minor surgery on her knee--I will gladly beg for any good thoughts, wishes, vibes, etc. because she's my baby (yes, she's a teenager, but she's still my baby) and it's surgery.

I'm thinking about doing a little painting this weekend--my nesting instincts are in full force right now. And of course, I need to get some writing done. I do have those three proposals to send out by the end of the month.

I hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend! Do you have plans?

  1. Sending good luck vibes for your tomorrow.

You could always come over here and paint my place - it really needs a good paint job.

I was supposed to go to Long Island, but Hurricane Earl may put a crimp in my plans.

Like you I sometimes struggle with a blog topic but I find my best is when I start to ramble, like I'm doing in this comment box.

    Have a good Thursday.

  2. Sending lots of positive vibes your way....... I have had 2 knee surgeries several years ago so I understand how your daughter feels.

My Labor Day plans consist of lots of R&R and spending some quality time with my family, nothing major. I hope your weekend goes well.

  3. Sending positive thoughts for your baby (your daughter, not the car).

We're bring my mum-in-law home from the nursing home tomorrow. Her first time home since her surgery back in July so I'll be spending most of my long weekend helping her get acclimated and hopefully squeezing in a little writing time.

    Have a great holiday.

  5. Good luck with your m-i-l, Linda!

And thanks, all, for the good wishes for my daughter. I'll let you know how it goes.

As for the car... Oh, the pain. $800 for one fix, the other is still TBD. But the idea of trading her in still hurts worse.
