Busy, Busy

Busy day!

It's Thursday, so I'm blogging today at The Naked Hero. A timely post about coping mechanisms. Whew. Pretty much every one I know is ready for a little good news for a change.

Also, it's the 30th, and that means Lucy Valentine is blogging over at Killer Characters about love and loss (which also ties into the whole coping blog! Sorry--it's been one of those weeks).

Also, thought you might enjoy this:

Today I'm going to be stuffing 75 goody bags with postcards and bookmarks from my writing friends for Books by the Banks. The bags will be cute when they're done. But right now? My office floor is organized chaos.

Also, meeting good friend Sharon Short for lunch. No better time--I need some brainstorming help, and she's great at that, and it's always fun to hang out with her.

Later, I'm volunteering at the high school for a couple of hours. And I have a blog to write for tomorrow's Cozy Chicks post (I'm open to suggestions!). Like I said, busy!

Anyone have fun weekend plans?

  1. LOL! I do my goody bags on the dining room table. I spread out the stacks of bookmarks and postcards and then walk up and down the table and collect 10 piles before I put them into bags and tie the ribbons. They looks so cute in the cello bags when they're done--good enough to eat!

(I like to listen to audio books while I assemble them.)

  2. Sounds like you've got a couple of busy days combined into one. I like the thought of organized chaos.

  3. Well, at least you're not bored.

Busy day for me, too. Mostly ordinary busy - work and spending time at Hospice - but my grandson spends Thursday night with us so that's excellent busy.

Still hoping to make it to Books by the Banks and picking up one of those goody bags of yours but things at Hospice may prevent that. If I don't make it, hope the day goes great for you.

  5. I have a quiet weekend, so I'll be working on my quilt.

Have fun at the Books by the Bank event.

  7. Lorna, if only I had a dining room table! Bags are loaded--just need to tie them. Listened to Phantom and Grease soundtracks.

MC, my life is organized chaos. :)

I hope you have fun with your grandson, Linda! And I hope to see you on Saturday, but I understand if you can't make it.

Tonya, so glad you'll be there! Lunch was fun. :)

Dru, quiet weekends are my favorites. Will you post pics of the new quilt?

I hope that for you, too, Lisa!
