Rambling Monday

I'm having a hard time waking up this morning. Yawning, yawning, yawning... I'm already missing the early sunrises. I love sunshine and seeing it first thing in the morning really gets me going for the day ahead. Mr. W reminded me that daylight savings time is coming up soon, and though it has the added bonus of an extra hour of sleep, it's such a tease, don't you think? Sure, we'll get the early morning sun for a week, maybe two, then the mornings will slide back into darkness.

Maybe I need to get a few sunlamps and set them up around the house. Think I can rig one up as an alarm clock?

My coffee is perking, so that will help in the short term. Lots to do today--still working on reading through the galleys (pass pages) of Absolutely, Positively. Need to send those back by Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. And I'm still working on new stuff. And need to do a little cleaning around the house. And really need to start sorting through my scrapbook bins. They're overflowing. Which means I really need to get some scrapbooks which means a trip to Michael's--always fun!

How's your Monday look?

  1. Just put a sunlamp on a timer (you know, like people use when they go on vacation to fool bugulars). See if you can fool your system that way.

I'm starting my Monday the usual way. Wondering where my weekend went. (Ah, but under two months to retirement and counting!)

  2. I love Mondays because it's a new week and I don't know what is going to happen. I'm always hoping for good things.

When I wake up, now the sun isn't up but by the time I arrive at the office, I get to see the sun come up and it is beautiful against the city's skyline.

Good luck with your pass pages and your other writings.

    Have a good Monday.

  3. I have a busy week ahead too, but I am excited. I still can't believe October is nearly over.

I got to see a beautiful sunrise as I was leaving for work this morning. Our morning lows are supposed to be at or near freezing towards the end of the week so that will wake me up and get me going I guess.

Good luck with the pages. I'm excited to see what you have in store for us!!

  4. Started late this Monday. Didn't have the best night's sleep, so I'm sleepy today. But, it rained a little this morning and it was very nice listening to it. The dog wasn't too happy though because she didn't ger her morning walk. Now I'm at my part time job....got to get back to doing some work. Happy Monday to you!

  5. I have a hard time getting up when the mornings get dark too. I have a light on a timer that goes on with my alarm clock, but it's still pretty tough to get out of bed. I always thought it would be even better to get something hooked up like in Back to the Future that not only turns the light on, but cooks breakfast, feeds the pets, maybe even helps drag me out of bed... :)

  6. It was definitely a blah Monday! Am ready for Tuesday. :)

Can't complain about the weather lately, though. Low 70s and gorgeous. Tomorrow we're supposed to get 55mph winds. Yikes! Batten down the hatches.

Lisa, that sounds like the Jetsons! I'd love that option, too!
