The Disgustedness

Ugh, ugh, ugh.

Some of you know how I feel about spitting. Yuckity, yuck, yuck. Shiver, shudder, eww.

So, let me tell you the place you should *never* go if you feel the same.

Where?

A college cross country race with 50 male teams, approximately 500 runners.

That's where.

Trust me on this.

Shudder.

Oh, and if you don't know what a "snot rocket" is, count your many blessings.

Double shudder.

  2. When the Doll was about 2 she suffered a bout of pneumonia. It was luckily bacterial not viral and so she was prescribed some Amoxicillin.

I went to great pains with the pharmacist to make sure the liquid did indeed take like bubblegum as promised for my little Doll was PICKY about foods and tastes (nothing has changed in the intervening years).

Amoxicillin burns if you get it into your eyes. Badly. And I know this because the second the yummy pink bubblegum flavored medicine hits the Doll's tongue she did a spit take that the Three Stooges would have been proud of.

Which is why when the Doll was sick all this summer, Daddy gave out the medicine (Amoxicillin, don't you know). Just in case.

  4. T, the race with 500 kids, he did great--came in 12th (it was the one in Chicago). However, this past weekend, he was hurt halfway through. We're waiting to see if he can continue the season. :(

Aimee, LOL! Oh, poor Doll. Poor you. My kids have had similar reactions to cough syrup. Couldn't get it within a foot of them.

No you don't, Dru Ann. Ugh.

  6. LOL, Nancy. It's a lot like what it sounds. What grosses me out most is when the GIRLS do it. I cannot imagine--ever--doing that. EVER.
