Cherries

It's one of my favorite times of the year: Cherry season. Cherries makes me ridiculously happy, pits and all.

Yum!
Do you have a favorite summer fruit?

  1. After cherries, watermelon. Then peaches.

    1. I love watermelon, too, Nancy. I can't get past the fuzz on peaches, though.

  2. Oh, so much yumminess this time of year. I particularly love nectarines. Yum. I love cantaloupe when it's nice and sweet. The one I cut up this morning wasn't that great. I sprinkled a little sugar on it before putting it in the fridge (something I've never felt the urge do to with cantaloupe before) and am hoping it'll soften it up and add that touch of sweetness.

So much fun having you back on the blog. I know your next book will call you away, but always love when you pop back on.

    1. Nectarines are a favorite of mine, too. I have some in a paper bag right now, ripening up. For some reason, our Kroger never seems to have them when they're fully ripe. Love cantaloupe, too, and it sounds like yours was under-ripe. Hoping the sugar helped.

I'm going to try to keep the blog going. We'll see. Thanks for sticking around. :)

    1. Dru Ann, they're sooo expensive, aren't they? I try to justify the cost by reminding myself how short the season is.
