This is absolutely true.
My favorite ice cream truck offering as a kid was the Screwball. Remember those? Orange sherbet with the gumball at the very bottom? It had to be eaten with the little wooden spoon, too, or it just wasn't as good.
Apparently Screwballs are sold in stores now. With cherry, raspberry, and stawberry flavors (apparently orange isn't made anymore-boo!), but in my world, I only love them from the ice cream truck...
Runners up for best ice cream truck novelty: snowcones, the Creamsicle, and the BombPop. Oh, who am I kidding? I love just about everything on the menu.
Do you have a favorite?
Mickey pop! Our neighbor, one of my oldest's friend literally chased it down the street on Saturday. Luckily for him it was worth turning around he fed about10 kids! The boys got drumsticks!ReplyDelete
Did he have to take out a loan? :) Now I'm craving a drumstick!Delete
Dreamsicle. Nothing else.ReplyDelete
Aimee, is that the same as a creamsicle?Delete
I remember the ice cream trucks growing up in Philly. My favorite novelty pop was the bombpops and the snow cones. Now living in NJ there's no ice cream trucks in my area :(ReplyDelete
We don't have them here too often, either. Such a treat when one rolls around.Delete
