Resolutions Revisited

Kristin reminded me of my New Year's resolutions and I thought I'd give an update... Updates in red.

My goals for 2015:

Finally learn how to rip the plastic wrap cleanly from its box.
Nope, not yet.
Laugh more.
I'd say yes to this.
Sing more (sorry, family).
Hmm. I'd say yep.
Eat healthier.
Eh.
Less procrastinating. (Hahahaha.)
Next.
Get rid of the expensive shoes that hurt my feet. (The cheapskate in me is crying.)
Still haven't done this.
Not take any of my blessings for granted.
Definitely.
Done! I read 8 books this month.
Learn to crochet a beanie hat.
Done!
Spoil my grandbaby. (Easy one!)
Still waiting for him to arrive.
Take more pictures.
Nope. But getting a new camera soon, so that'll hopefully change.
Learn to make homemade pasta.
I did! Fairly easy, and though it wasn't pretty by any means, it was tasty.
Answer emails more quickly.
Oops.
Be kinder.
I'm trying.
Write more.
Next.
Exercise more ( :::whimper::: ).
Hanging head in shame.
Try to live more simply.

Working on it.
Organize my office.

Soon!
Finish painting the living room (longest project ever).

Oy.
Get outside more.

Not quite, but it is really cold right now...
Enjoy life. Live life. Love life.

Doing it!

Not too bad, but still a ways to go...

  1. Your Posts always make me laugh! The year is still young you have plenty of time to complete those goals.

  2. I agree with Megan. Your progress is to be applauded and yes, there is still plenty of time. Have you tried the S,M.A.R.T method to goal setting? Specific, Measurable, Achievable, something, something (grin). I honestly think I am just not a very goal-oriented person, but if you are, it might help putting some self-imposed deadlines on some of the specific tasks like office organization and painting the living room or maybe just a fun reward for when the tasks are done (hmm...maybe that's what the "R" stands for!). You are doing great!!!

  3. I can pretty much guarantee the arrival of that grandbaby will take care of the "take more pictures" resolution for you.
