It's One of Those Days

One of those days where I have so much I need to do that I don't want to do any of it. I hope I'm not the only one this happens to.

My office has been remodel HQ and needs a complete cleaning, though I'm not ready to put the paint away yet. I still need to do touch ups at the ceilings and baseboards. I also need to seal the grout, make a major donation to Goodwill, and find a place that will get rid of an old tire. I should have started my third Lucy Valentine book a month ago... The bathrooms are a mess. The list goes on.

And what do I want to do?

Fiddle with the colors on my blog.

Yeah. It's one of those kinds of days.

I'm going to suck it up and pull out the paint brushes. I figure as soon as I'm done with that I can at least clean my office and perhaps that will lead to starting that book...

PS: Kids are back to school. Most everyone in my area now has power and gas stations are reopening with more decent pricing. Still over 200,000 without power, though. What a crazy storm.

  1. You're making me tired. My house needs so much I try to forget about it and hope some nice little fairies will get it done while I'm at work LOL

Speaking of Lucy Valentine, when is #1 coming out? I check Amazon frequently and nada. I know you needed to get a new pen name, is that the holdup?

  2. I wish I knew more about the Lucy V series, Melissa! Not sure if the publisher is waiting for the third book to be done at this point, but I haven't heard anything. Patience is a must in this business! As soon as I know anything I'll post it.

And if those fairies show up, send them this way!

  3. I'm north of Waynesville, and there's a string of houses that don't have power, with mine at the northern end of that string. I'm ready to have lights and water and all that stuff again!

I had no idea there was a mystery writer in the area... I'll be checking stuff out!

  4. Curt, I hear the southern Dayton suburbs were really hard hit.
I hope your utilities are restored soon! It's unbelievable, isn't it?

There are actually a couple of us mystery writers lurking in these parts. Some of us will be at the Waynesville library on Oct. 20th. (Barring any more hurricanes!)
