Have spent most of the afternoon trying to convince my 18 year old son why it is a bad idea to buy a $30,000 (on sale from $40k) brand-new car. He's not understanding the whole lifelong debt thing. Or the interest thing. Or why, as good parents, we won't co-sign.
Am now fighting a headache, the evil mom that I am.
Tell him to buy a Vespa.ReplyDelete
No, no, he'd get the motorcycle just to send me over the edge.ReplyDelete
Perhaps letting him take this loan and all the responsibility that goes with it will give him the real-life wake-up call he needs.ReplyDelete
Even when they are 33, they sometimes still don't get it. Better buy a big bottle of aspirin :)ReplyDelete
