Spotlight On...

Okay, usually Tuesdays are reserved for Spotlight On... Books.
And though I did read a book last week on vacation, it stunk.
So in the spirit of if you don't have anything nice to say, I'm not saying anything.
Instead, I have a Spotlight On... My vacation (I'm trying to hold onto it as long as I can!)

Butterfly on Mt. Pico, near Killington, Vermont.

The kids and I admire the view from Mt. Pico.

Apparently there's been epic rain in Vermont--makes for a lot of mud on the trails.

We've been going on vacation to Vermont for eight years .
This was our first moose sighting.

Drying out boots after being caught in a downpour.

Our first trip to Maine: Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor.
If you hike up Cadillac Mountain, you'll see views like this.
Of course, you could also drive to the top, but I like to think the views
wouldn't be nearly as good.

Another view from Cadillac Mountain

Fellow author Jessica Conant-Park told me about Indian Point, near
Bar Harbor, a spot to seal-watch. They never really came close to shore but it
was so fun to watch their antics.

Seats to watch the seal antics.

A sunset picture from the airplane window on our flight home.

  1. Beautiful pix...New England is truly the most beautiful part of the country, but I'm probably prejudiced =)

Too bad about spending vacation with a lousy book...over the weekend I read Janet Evanovich's Finger Lickin' Fifteen. It's the first Plum novel I've read, and loads of fun. I especially loved Lula and Grandma...they're a hoot together.

  2. You're pictures are great. I especially love the sunset photo.

Sorry about the bad book. I agree with Melissa, Finger Lickin' Fifteen is a riot.

    Have a good Tuesday.

  3. Melissa, I totally agree with you, so if you're prejudiced, then so am I! And I CANNOT believe that's the first Janet E book you've read. You. Must. Get. Backlist.

Thanks, Dru! And I'll be reading 15 soon! Those books always make me laugh.
