Dragging myself around this Monday morning. Got very little sleep. I'm blaming the Excedrin I took before bed--but really, it was either lie awake with a migraine or lie awake from the caffeine in the Excedrin. At least with option two I could read. No brainer, right?
Though I read a great book (see tomorrow's blog), I'm paying for my late night today. It's one of those mornings where I hit the snooze button and wonder a) if I could go back to bed after dropping my son off at his practice or b) squeeze a nap in during the day or c) if I could go to bed early tonight. (Tell me I'm not the only one who does this! LOL.)
Yet here I am, up and at 'em and wishing I had some coffee. Actually...I might have some free samples in the pantry somewhere--must look. Today I have to pick up my son and friend from practice, take both to school to pick up schedules, drop off friend, drop off son (actually, he'll prob be driving at that point), run to Lowe's, paint some trim (primer and top coats), bring stuff up to the attic, bring stuff down from the attic (we have a rule: if something goes up, something must come down), make a run to Goodwill, buy a new journal (out of pages!) and ant spray (intruders in the garage!), make a run to Kohl's for some school shopping (coupon ends tomorrow!), and oh yeah, get some writing done. On top of all those little household things like emptying the dishwasher and making dinner.
All in a day's work, right?
How's your day looking?
I came home yesterday from a family BBQ with a wicked headache brought on by 90 degree heat. Have you ever tried Goody's Headache Powders? Best thing for headaches I've ever found...
ReplyDeleteSunshine/heat is a trigger for me, too, Melissa. I've not heard of Goody's. Is it a New England thing? I'll have to look for it.
ReplyDeleteIt actually seems to be a southern product, but I can always find it at Walmart. I just put it in a small amount of orange juice and it works amazingly fast as it enters immediately into your blood stream.
ReplyDeleteI have weather-induced migraines and Excedrin is the only OTC drug that will work. I do know that I can not take Excedrin at night because it keeps me up.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better today.
My day was good. I won a book and a discount at a spa.
Melissa, I'll keep an eye out for it!
ReplyDeleteDru, I don't know about you, but I can't take Excedrin Migraine--way too jittery--but the regular stuff does a great job. Well, except for keeping me awake!
Which pills make you whiny?
ReplyDeleteHeather - I'm like you too..I can only take regular Excedrin.
