Book Giveaway!

I was extremely lucky to have received many free books last year, and if you don't mind gently used copies, I want to share. It only seems fair to "pay it forward" as best I can. I'm giving quite a few of the books to the local library that's been hit by major budget cuts, but there are still plenty left. I'm trying to figure out the best way to share with you so there may be some trial and error. I'm going to start with smaller batches and see how the response is--and the post office bill! I have multiple copies of certain books (don't ask) so if you see a number in parenthesis (2) then two copies are up for grabs. HC is hardcover, TP is trade paperback, and MMPB is mass market paperback. These are some wonderful authors and books. My hope is that you'll perhaps find a new to you author and fall in love their work and go back and buy backlist or make a preorder of their next book. A pay-it-forward of your own.

Okay, rules and regulations: Please choose two books from the list and two alternatives. First come, first served--I'll post updates on this blog during the day as to which books are taken by crossing out titles. Send requests to with "Book Giveaway" in the subject line. Be sure to include your snail mail address in the body of the email--I will contact you with which books will be coming your way. Don't use the comment section for your selections!

Okay, deep breath.

For today:

Cold Light of Mourning by Elizabeth J. Duncan (2) (1) -- HC
Decked with Folly by Kate Kingsbury -- TPB
Heir of the Dog by Judi McCoy -- MMPB
Hounding the Pavement by Judi McCoy -- MMPB
Awakening by SJ Bolton --HC
A Veiled Deception by Annette Blair --MMPB
Fatal Flip --Peg Marberg --MMPB
Eggs Benedict Arnold by Laura Childs -- MMPB
Never Say Sty by Linda O. Johnston -- MMPB
Lethal Vintage by Nadia Gordon -- HC

Okay. Let's see how this goes. Hopefully well. :)

Update: 9:41 AM

Wow, those went fast. I'm having a blast doing this. For those of you who missed out, tune in tomorrow--there are MORE books.

  1. Work got in the way today so I didn't even get a chance to select.

  2. Thanks, MC! It's been fun so far. Such a great feeling to give books away to people who love them.

Dru, tune in tomorrow! There are more. And doesn't work ruin everything?

  3. This is what I miss when I volunteer at my daughter's school! I'll be back tomorrow though :)

  4. Knew I should have stopped playing withthe grandson earlier, but playing with him is better than any book, but I'll try again tomorrow.
