And I haven't cared. Horrible, no?
I'm talking about the family answering machine. A little before Christmas there was a power outage that resulted in the answering machine having a hissy fit and deciding it was going to delete the outgoing message (it's one of those old fashioned machines) and not record any incoming calls.
So the debate is on. New battery or not. I'm leaning toward not, but then again, when the telemarketer (I love caller ID) called (hello, violation of the Do Not Call list) and let the phone ring and ring and ring and ring to the point where my husband picked up the receiver and put it immediately down again -- well, yeah, okay, the answering machine might have been handy in that instance.
I'm just not sure. Do you have any techno gizmos that you could live without?
