Confession

Okay. Deep breath. Here goes:

I've been listening to an awful lot of Barry Manilow.

Yes. Barry Manilow. I said it.

And yes, I have one of his CDs.

Whew. I feel better. Now sing with me: Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl, with yellow feathers in her hair...

Anyone else have musical guilty pleasures?

  1. NOOOO, now that is going to be stuck in my head.

All I listen to is The Wiggles and Kindermusic. (sighs)the life of a Mom.

  2. there is nothing wrong with Barry. nothing at all, cause then that would mean there's something wrong with me. and that's not true.

I love Frankie Valli. I do. My friends make fun of me.

  4. I'd have to say there are times Barry Manilow's music would fit my mood and oh yes, Frankie Valli. But then I like Michael Bolton too.

But today, there will be one song rambling around in my mind all day long ..... thanks Heather.

  5. Probably a rebellion against your husband's musical snobbery. Nevertheless, I can not condone your actions.

  6. Ah, so glad I'm not alone. Did anyone see last night's Idol, the girl who used to be on Barney? THAT brought back some memories. Can't say I miss those songs, though I still sing "Do your ears hang low" from time to time.

I'm currently listening to the Grease soundtrack while stuffing never ending envelopes--so fun, those songs.

  7. I will listen to 80's music anytime, anywhere.

    And I love Cracklin' Rosie...

And soundtracks....Grease, Dirty Dancing, West Side Story...ah, it's all good!

We, thankfully, have moved past the Barney phase. "If all the raindrops were lemondrops and gumdrops, oh! what a rain that would be!"

  11. Okay, you're making me do it: I also confess to loving Neil Diamond music.

We either need to start a fan club or a support group. Not sure which.
