FIle Under...

...Things you don't see every day.

I was driving with my daughter yesterday to the mall, to look for birthday presents for triplets--which isn't an easy task, let me tell you.

Anyway, on the way, I happened to glance in my rearview mirror at the car behind me.

Me: I could be wrong, my eyes might be deceiving me, so tell me if the grown man behind us is sucking on a pacifier.

Her [oh so casually lowering the visor to peek in the mirror]: Yep, it's a pacifier.

We watched, amused, as the man kept the pacifier in his mouth for a good five minutes, occasionally popping it out to coo to the baby in the backseat, who probably just wanted its paci back.

Now, even if I were behind the whole "have the parent stick the paci in their mouth to clean it off" way of thinking--which I am not--for him to have kept it in his mouth for so long doesn't really make sense if "cleaning it off" was what he was doing.

So, we were amused. And slightly grossed out. But really, you don't see stuff like that every day.

  1. No can't say that's something you see everyday. I do know they make candy pacifiers, maybe he forgot his and had to borrow the baby's. :)

  2. Wonder if it was like those kitchen scrubbers that have a reservoir to hold dish soap, only his grown up binky held booze...

Either that or he's just a nutcase!

  3. I'm not quite sure what he was doing, but I think he was getting a little too much pleasure out of it. LOL. Strange, just strange.
