When a Book Takes Over
I love when a book starts to take over my life. I'm constantly thinking about it. Hearing snatches of dialogue at a stop light, when I drift off to sleep, as I make dinner... I'm thinking ahead to plot points, to twists and turns, to resolutions. I care deeply about my main character and want her to have a her own version of a happily-ever-after. All these things are good signs when I'm writing a book--because when this doesn't happen when is when I know that the story isn't good.
This book, again, is a lot like the Lucy books in that it has a bit of mystery, a bit of romance, and a bit of paranormal (the curse!). I have high hopes for it, so wish me luck, okay?
PS: The new Killer Characters blog, the blog where characters do all the talking, is up and running: http://www.killercharacters.com/. I'll be posting on the 30th of every month. Well, one of my characters will be posting...
PPS: The Deadly Divas on Facebook have 299 "likes". Doesn't someone want to be # 300? Huh? Huh? You can find a link in the sidebar on the left. :) And if you leave any kind of comment on the DD page, you'll be entered to win a fabulous DD tote bag--winner chosen randomly on Sunday!
