Beck and Call

My daughter is doing really well after knee surgery. There's definitely a learning curve to crutches. Going up and down the stairs has been interesting. So, mostly she's been spending a lot of time upstairs in her room, watching a lot of movies-old Disney faves and also lots of House. She loves that show.

And when she needs something when we're not with her? She calls.

Literally calls. Via cell phone. It makes us laugh, but it's actually really useful. Like one of those nurse call buttons in the hospital. She has a soft voice, like me, so she if she yelled, it would be fairly pointless unless we were in the next room.

She has another week on crutches, give or take, but I have a feeling the cell phone method of getting someone's attention might stick around--I'm totally stealing the idea. :)

  1. Glad that Daughter is doing well.

Isn't it great the many uses for a cell phone?

  3. Glad the surgery went well. Hope her recovery is quick and uneventful.

Should I be embarrased to admit I call my beloved spouse on my cell when I'm at my computer (2nd floor, south end of the house) and he's in the family room (1st floor, north end) and I need a quick answer or something?

  4. Linda, no reason to be embarrassed--like I said, I'm adopting this method of communication! LOL.
