Busy Bee

Have I mentioned that I share my car with son # 2? Well, I do, and most of the time there's no issues with that. I write most days, so I don't need the car a lot. He can take it to school (driving his sister as well), to practice, etc. Yet there are some days [like today] that a third car would be really handy. My daughter needs to go in early today, but son #2 has a late start. So I need to drop her off, come home, then take son #2 back two hours later. Then I'm off to meet son #1 [who flew the coop months ago] for a little while, then I have to turn around and come back to pick up son #2 early because he has allergy shots. Then I drop him off at track practice and have to get fancied up because I have a book event tonight. Then Mr. W has to pick up son # 2 from practice and daughter from play practice--at the same time. Thankfully, they're in the same vicinity.

Bu-sy! Lots of driving around. So, today would have been a good day for son #2 to have his own car. But I have to say these days are rare--and so not worth all the extra insurance and car payments a third car would bring.

I have to keep reminding myself of that today as I buzz around town. Let's not talk about how much writing won't be getting done today...

  1. Hmmm...I think I'd invest in another car or at least have son #2 help pay for a third car. I know--MEAN MOM:) Anyways, some days you just need those non-writing days to be with our kids. Have a great visit.

  2. That was exhausting just reading it! Good luck today with all the driving/picking up/ dropping off/picking up/ etc! At least, as you said, these days are rare. If they weren't rare, I'd definitely be looking into adding a new car to the family.

  3. I would be wiped out by the time it was time for the event.

  4. OMG, I can't believe you have a blog! I'm so star struck right now. Just finished Truly, Madly!!!

Okay, I'm done gushing haha...totally worth it to just have these once in a blue busy days instead of buying another car.

  5. It was a really crazy day! Maybe spent 15 minutes at home between 10 AM and 9:30 PM. Exhausting but a good day.

Welcome, Lah! Thank you! So glad you loved Truly, Madly.

Third car, btw, is probably not going to happen... (We'll see if this changes over the next few months!)
