Gratitude

I drove down to Florida on Saturday, 15 1/2 hours, nonstop. It was a spur of the moment kind of trip. One of the many bright spots at the end of the trip was going to be the weather. When I left Cincinnati, it was -2. Way. Too. Cold. I was looking for sun and warmth in South Florida.

When I arrived, it was 40 degrees. The news was talking about "The Big Chill." Roving reporters were interviewing people about being so cold.

I was sorely disappointed.  Although, yes, 40 degrees is much better than -2, it's still COLD.

But Sunday. Ahhhh, Sunday. It warmed to a nice 65 degrees and sunny. I basked. It was a chilly 12 degrees in Cincinnati yesterday morning. Have to admit, I called home to Mr W and gloated a wee bit.

So, I'd like to say thank you to Mother Nature for giving me a bit of warmth to get me through the rest of the cold, cold winter. I needed it.
