*Son #1 came back from Afghanistan in late July! Hooray! We were lucky enough to see his unit off the plane (at 1 AM!). It was a very emotional and happy return. His wife is due back in October from her deployment, and I'm not sure which of the two of them will be happier.
*Son #2 started his junior year of college. Time flies. It really does. All those silly cliches are true. And let me tell you, it does NOT get easier saying goodbye with each passing year.
*Baby Girl went off to college! I'm still adjusting to this. It's not easy, that's for sure. It helps that she's not that far away, and enjoys chatting on the phone with me.
*We adjusted to our empty nest by BUYING A NEW HOUSE!!! I know, right? This has been the main reason I've been away. So much to do, but sooo worth it. We love it here. It kind of reminds me of Goldilocks. It's just right.
*I finally finished and turned in THE GOODBYE WITCH (Wishcraft #4), which might be the most emotional book I've ever written (and longest!). It's due out in May.
*I'm currently working on the second book in the potion series which is due REALLY soon, which probably won't be turned in on time (ACK!). After that, though, I promise a new Lucy Valentine!
So, as you can see I've been a wee bit busy. Life's good. :)
Off to get some pages written and then paint a room. Wishing everyone a happy Monday.
Oh yay! You're back! And my, you have been busy. Is it any wonder with all you have going on in your life in the midst of it all you've written an emotional book! Looking forward to all the upcoming releases. I've turned one of my sisters into a Lucy Valentine fan. Once she's caught up on the series, I'll introduce her to Nina and Darcy. Of course, we are all excited to meet Carly.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of painting, I'm painting my porch. We moved across the state the beginning of June. I thought the grayish/light purple porch needed a little whitening up! It's all primed and just this afternoon I've started with the paint. Man, all the spindles and nooks and crannies make it a lot of work, but I know I'll love it in the end.
Life is good, indeed. We have so much to be thankful for.
