I was watching a little bit of the World Series of Bowling yesterday (I lead a scintillating life) on ESPN. It's one of those sports that I watch, utterly fascinated, that people can make a living (a good one, too) by bowling. The pros make it look so easy.
Back in Massachusetts (and various parts of New England/Canada) there's Candlepin bowling. I still wonder why it hasn't caught on across the entire US. It's much more fun. The balls are the size of grapefruits and the pins are a lot skinnier. If I can do well at it, anyone can.
After watching that tournament yesterday, I think I need to brush up on my bowling skills (as long as I can bring my own shoes). Who's with me? After all, the leader had a lifetime earnings of 2.9 million... That's a lot of incentive!
