Resolution # 4

Okay, this one pains me just writing it, but it's been far too long, and I don't think I can put it off any longer:

Resolution # 4

Go to the dentist.

  1. I pass out at the dentist every time!! I had a really bad experience as a child and I've never gotten over it!! I'll have to tell you sometimes....
Anyways, my dentist will call me when it's time for me to come in and make the appt for the next day b/c if I have an appt card on the refrigerator for 6 months, I'll be anxious for 6 months!

  2. I just had a temporary crown put on right before Christmas. I have been stressing about going back in a few weeks to get the permanent crown.

Think of the dentist at the zoo sedating the "big cats" to fix one of their fangs. That's what I have pictured in my mind for the next dental visit. It's not pretty.

Had a bad experience as a child and still to this day I am scared of the dentist. I think I would rather go to the "girlie" doctor than the dentist. Believe me, the "girlie" doctor is another appointment I would rather skip but it's the lesser of two evils.

  3. This is something I got done a few weeks ago. I did dentist and doctor's appts this month and am happy that they are done! Good luck at the dentist....it should be fine.

  4. The dentist and I are friends, good friends that I won't see him again for 6 months.

  5. LOL, Dru.

Lisa, I am SO with you.

I'm thinking this resolution may take 8-10 months to complete. :)

  6. I do the every six months thing but I always need help. I go with tunes and dual headphones (need to block both ears for this to work). I use a Broadway show that I've seen so I can conjure up the visual memory then I crank up the music and mentally leave the room.

I've gotten through a couple unpleasant "girlie" procedures this way, too.
